Hotel Grünwald

Stayed at Hotel Grünwald Garni for one night while attending an event at Bergson (only a 5-minute walk away – ideal!). The hotel is family-run, which gives it that nice personal touch. The room was on the smaller side but had everything you need, except a coffee machine, which would’ve been a bonus. However, the shower more than made up for it – high water pressure and excellent flow. One of the best I’ve had in a while!||The location is great if you're heading to Bergson events, and the surrounding area is clean and green, perfect for a morning stroll. Staff were really friendly, and while they do have parking, I didn’t use it as I took Uber from the airport – about 70 euros each way.||Breakfast was fresh and what you’d expect. My only gripe? I still don’t get the European thing with the single duvet on the bed! A pair of blackout blinds wouldn’t have gone amiss either.||Would I stay again? Definitely. It’s clean, convenient, and the shower alone is worth it!|

The breakfasts are pretty good, and the staff are so nice. The town is so cute and quiet.

We booked this hotel in Aubing about 20m train ride on the S-bahn from Munich centre. It was in a traditional looking suburb with restaurants and bakeries. ||||Beautiful hotel with great staff, all friendly and attentive. Clean and traditionally decorated room with comfy beds and good showers. Breakfast was great and is recommended. As a hotel this just had it all and felt unique - not just a chain or a budget hotel. It was everything we hoped it would be and felt Bavarian and like you were in Munich. ||||Located 10m from the S-bahn stop which was great - when it worked - which it often didnt sadly. This was when the hotel's distance was an issue as it became difficult to get back late at night and the S4 line was unreliable. Locals implied the S-bahn network is not good in Munich. The S-bahn line S4 not running on the Sunday for some reason meant a 110 euro cab to the airport! That was all very surprising and frustrating. ||||But apart from the S-bahn issues the hotel was fantastic and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Hotel was very comfortable. The service was fantastic! The breakfast is a great deal! Only 8eu. I definitely recommend it. The eggs are made to order. Good selection of breads and meats. Overall fantastic!

We were there as a part of the Tarten Army at Euros 2024! A very friendly , clean family run hotel. Situated not far from railway into Central Munich! Thank for being such gracious hosts in your friendly little town! The rooms very appointed and well kept! Thank you! S

Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Great stay. Clean, comfortable rooms tidied each morning. Nice classic decor makes a change from modern hotels. Good breakfast. Decent location when train lines are running properly. Recommended.

This is our second stay in this hotel. We like to stay here when we go to Oktoberfest. It's a short walk to the train and about 20 minutes to our stop for Oktoberfest. The rooms are always clean and this time the bathroom had been updated so the shower was larger (good for my 6'3" hubby). The staff is always friendly and so helpful and knowledgeable. They always give us good advice. They have a large walled parking lot which is so handy. There is a patio and a lounge area inside to gather. We will go back to this place again.

Super clean hotel with the best breakfast we had on our whole trip! Fairly close to the airport and Munich old town. Super friendly staff. Would definietly stay here again. Good onsite parking and walking friendly.
